Blessing From Above

He Sleeps, I watch and surely am amazed,
Beautiful creature, birthed in heaven high,
So new is he removed from paradise,
A small reflection of God's perfect Grace.

If ever mighty God deserved my praise,
Aside from Christ, the highest sacrifice,
In him, His love is now personified,
Divine intent embodied in his face.

Awake, he's as the hands upon cloth,
That wring dark water out upon the ground,
His presence forcing bitterness to flee,
Instead, my heart delights in playful sound,
And yet his stillness more endears to me,
His quiet innocence and purity.

My First Field Trip

Hi everyone!! I am sorry it has been so long since my last post. I have been real busy gettin' fat and happy...life is so good:) I went on my first field trip last Friday. We went to the Chattanooga Aquarium with my DeeDee, Poppy, and my cousins the Shopes. We saw all kinds of neat ocean creatures like sharks, seahorses, sea turtles, and jelly fish. We also saw a lot of pretty butterflies. Mommy put one on my head, it tickeld. I had lots of fun on my field trip, I can't wait to go again! I hope everyone had a good Valentines Day. I got lots of lovin' from my Mom and Dad. My Nina gave me some yummy chocolate, but mommy said she would have to sacrifice and eat it for me. I want to send a big hug and kiss to my Poppy in Europe. I miss your funny songs, and can't wait to see you again. I'm sarting to laugh more, so I'll save you one for when you get back! Mommy says when I laugh it makes her melt..whatever that means.? Well, Mom says I have to take another nap, so I better go.
