The Ladies Love Me!

Me and my Nana. She always fights with Nina to hold me. I love the attention...it's so much fun being fought over!

This is me and my cousin Cresha. She's was in the Marines, and lives far, far away in California. She was one of the pretty ladies at the wedding.

Bath Time, Weddings, and Laughter

Bath time with Mommy is one of my favorite times of the day. I love getting the whole bathroom wet by kicking my feet. Mama said soon she will teach me how to swim all by myself, and I can splash around in a great big bath tub! I went to see Dr. Erinle again yesterday. He was real nice until he stuck this big light in my ear and up my nose. I got him back by crying real loud, but he said I wasn't going to make him quit doing his job just by crying...oh well, I tried. He said my ear is all better now, and he also said I'm growing up just fine. I now weigh 15 pounds 5 ounces, and I grew a whole 1/2 inch in two weeks(I'm two feet now). Mama said I better stop growing so fast, or she will have to buy out the entire grocery store just for herself. This past weekend was lots of fun. Friday night I hung out with my Nina and Poppy. We ate pizza and watched old videos of when my Daddy was a little boy. When we left I was real sad because Poppy had to leave the next day. He had to go back to work in Europe. He is going to be gone for a long time, and I already miss him so much. Saturday I went to Knoxville for the first time. My cousin Sheena got married. I didn't get to see much of the wedding because I got my daddy real good by messing in my pants. Ha, ha, ha...I love getting him...it's so funny watching him gag! I am my fathers son you know! The rest of the day was real fun too. All these pretty ladies kept passing me back and forth...what can I say, I'm the man! Finally I conked out from all the excitement, and when I woke we were back home. My mom wanted me to tell everyone that I started giggling. She thinks its just the best sound in the whole world. The first time she heard me she jumped up and ran all the way downstairs to get my Dad, but I was done showing off. A week later I decided it was time to let him hear it... he was just as excited. I will keep working at it, and soon I will be able to laugh for everyone! I hope everybody is doing as good as I am. I will keep learning new things and growing real big...I promise!

Let Me Out

" When you were born, you cried and the world rejoiced. Live your life so that when you die, the world will cry and you will rejoice!" -Victor Hugo

Me and Mommy working real hard.

Meeting Mom and Dad!!!

"Can't get any better than perfect."
All cleaned up and ready to meet everyone!

Whew, what a day...I'm spent.

The Beginning of My Life

Since I just began these entries, and I am already three months old, I figured I should take a step back and start my story from the beginning. This was a week before I came into the world. Mom and Dad were real excited! My Daddy use to always poke my Mom's belly trying to make me move. My Dad wanted to name me Dirk...thank goodness Mom fought to name me anything else! I really enjoyed being in my Mommy's tummy. It was so warm, dark and cozy. But, it was beginning to get a bit cramped, I was getting a bit bored, and I heard my mama say she couldn't get any bigger. So, a week later I began my decent into this big bright world. My Mom said it hurt real bad, but she said it was worth every pain. I was born at 1:01 p.m., on Nov.1, in a baby pool, in my living room. Some people think my Mom and Dad are crazy for having me at home, but I thought it was a great idea. After I came out Ms. Debi let me lay on my Mommy's chest so we both could catch our breath. Then she cleaned us both up and poked me all over to make sure everything was where it was supposed to be. She said "you can't get any better than perfect." A few hours later we had my birthday party and I met all kinds of cool people. They all wanted to hold me, and they said really nice things about me. I was so popular! After a few weeks things calmed down and I got to know my Mom and Dad. I had to make sure they knew it was all about me, so I cryed a lot. Now I have chilled out and make them smile all the time. Life so far is really fun. There are all kinds of neat sounds, smells, sights, and things to touch, but best of all is my family. They all can't get enough of me, and I'm lovin' it!

a day in the life of Joseph

I am now almost three months old...where has the time gone. Life is good so far, mama takes care of everything. I'm growing real big too. I went to see Dr. Erinle on Monday, and I weigh 14 pounds 4 ounces. I am 23 1/2 in. long, and my head is two inces bigger than when I was born. I am now sleeping in my crib in my own room. I have been sleeping real good too, almost eight hours at night. My mom is finally feeling rested again. I have been going on walks in the mall with my friend Julian. He is 3 weeks younger than me, so I have to show him the ropes. He is always sleeping, but soon he will start playing with me. My other friend, Rilla, was born a week ago. She's real pretty, but she sleeps all the time too. Talking about all this sleep has made me sleepy, so I'm going to take a nap now.

Until next time,

JAM

This is my friend Rilla...is'nt she pretty! She was just born last Thursday, so I'm way bigger than she is.

This is my friend Julian. This was the first time we met...we're already fightin'. He was 3 weeks old and I was 6 weeks old.
